I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They responded with their side (a skewed version). I submitted a rebuttal. Left for vacation. When I returned, they sent me an email that they had creditted my account. I couldn't believe it. Someone from Hydroderm actually acknowledged the situation was wrong and remedied it.

I canceled online and then a month later was charged for two shipments. When I called, they said I had never canceled. They then wanted me to pay to return the second shipment which was supposed to have been canceled. I said no and am disputing the charges with my CC. So I don't think that this is only about needing to read that this is a free trial. I did that and canceled and still had a problem.

I hope whoever is interested in thinking about "taking up" Hydroderm's free sample offer will find this site, read our posts of true personal experiences, and think twice before giving out their credit card information to Hydroderm. As once you have given your credit card info to them, you will definitely need to spend time and effort to fight with them and your credit card company in order to get the money back! Not only their product does not work, but also Hydroderm will unlawfully charged your credit card for the product without your authorization and even after they have confirmed to you in writing that "your auto-ship membership has been cancelled and your credit card will not be charged"!!! - IT IS INDEED BEYOND BELIEVE!!!!!!!!
I was interested in their free sample offer but do not want to sign up for Auto-ship membership program, and so before I ordered the free sample, I've searched and read all their FAQ's and learned (from Hydroderm's answer posted to FAQ's in their website) that you if you cancelled the auto-ship membership subscription before the due date of their shipping 1st auto-ship product, you can keep the free sample and they will not ship any further product to you, and so there will be no further charges billed to your credit card. And so, I went ahead and orderd the free sample in mid April, and then cancelled the auto-ship subscription the next day, and Hyderdom e-mailed me the cancellation confirmation the next 2 days, and since then I've been keeping eyes on my Visa statement. The month of May passed by without problem - did not see Hyderoderm unlawful charges to my Visa account - but then today, 6/14 - I discover that Hydroderm has all of sudden charged my Visa $49.95 for the product that I've never ordered and they have never shipped!! - if this is not a scam, I don't know what is then...?! So be smart! - stay away from them, not only Hydroderm doesn't work but it's a SCAM! - once they have your credit card info, you will always need to worry about when and how much they are going to charge to your credit card, and then you will need to spend time and effort to fight for it with them and your credit card company - which is what I'm doing now as we speak!

I haven't tried Hydroderm, but I've had people tell me both good and bad things about it. So I'm a little hesitant. Also a little afraid to try their free 14-day trial period and never be able to stop the shipments. There are some other good products I've found though. There's one called "Deception" that's been around for about 8 years. I think Oprah recommended it a couple of years back and that put them on the map. I tried it and it works pretty well at hiding wrinkles straight out of the box. It's kind of like a concealer for wrinkles. But something funny happened after using it for 3 months. My skin started to look fresher. I thought I was seeing things until my friends started complimenting me on my skin (I'm 67 years old). So I took a look at the ingredient list to see if there was something in there that might actually help my skin, not just hide my wrinkles. I don't know why I didn't see it when I first bought it, but it had a couple of ingredients in it that I think may be making my skin look so much better. Does anybody know anything about ylang-ylang, allantoin, emu oil, or kaolin? Those, along with Vitamin E, aloe, emu oil, and green tea extract (which I know about) are on the label. Anyway, I like it and am going to continue using it. I call an 800 number to order it, but I think I originally found it on their website, something like zipwrinkles, or maybe zapwrinkles.com
Good luck all!

I knew something was wrong as soon as I printed my receipt and there, for the first time, was the statement that I had signed up for an "auto ship program" and that my card would be "automatically" billed. Since this is NOT at all what I agreed to, I tried cancelling my account on their website - can't do it. Tried sending them an E-mail - no response. Tried calling the "customer service" number - no answer. Now to really understand just how thoroughly we have all been bilked, about a half hour later my phone rang and it was a representative from Hydroderm - not from customer service - but a sales rep trying to peddle more junk! Guess what folks, in the parlance of the internet/phone scam artist our phone numbers have been added to what is referred to as a "mooch list" (their term for a sucker, an easy mark.) Ok, we all know we have been scammed, what are we going to do about it? Well, I for one am bringing ALL the information I have on this scam to Jan Caldwell at our local FBI office. I work far too hard for my money to let some low life steal it from me.

Don't forget to dispute it with your credit card company, in spite of their threats, you can get your money back. I did! Good luck.

I wish I had known about this site a month ago. I just got charged my $49.95 for my "Free Trial". When I called customer service, they explained about the autoship and return requirement that is supposedly in the credit card use agreement that I agreed to when I ordered the free trial. If it's there, I obviously didn't read that agreement close enough! There is no doubt that this is a fraud and scam. I'll definitely check this site before I order anything from the internet again.
The product actually looks like it might work. But with their fraudulent sales practices, I'll never get any more of it. I wonder how real all of those celebrity endorsements are on their site. If they are real, I wonder if the celebrities known what a rip-off this company is! It's a shame there isn't a better way to get the word out on scams like this.

I think it's obvious that the only thing that "works" with Hydroderm is the temporary tightening effect from the "vyo-serum" or whatever it's called - I think the "whole collagen delivery...blah....blah...blah..." is bunk x 10.
The best part though is the before and after pictures. They are careful not to show the whole face, but if you look at the before picture, whether it is of the mouth, eyes, or whatever, it's obvious that they are smiling, thus creating wrinkles.
In the after picture, the facial muscles are relaxed, thusly implying a lack of wrinkles. It is really quite obvious - go check it out. I emailed them, basicially asking them why they used such misrepresentational photographs, but, gee, they never replied...

It seems very clear we have a LOT of people who are too quick to complain about Hydroderm and not quick enough to READ and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. I just went onto the Hydroderm website and pretended to activate a new free trial order. After entering my address and clicking CONTINUE, the next screen CLEARLY displayed the following terms and conditions BEFORE I gave up my credit card info:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Start your FREE trial now to receive a full two-month supply of Hydroderm (retails for $79.95). You’ll have until Mar 18, 2006 to evaluate the product and see the results for yourself. If you enjoy this formula, simply do nothing. You will be billed the super low price of $49.95 at the end of your 30-day trial period…a 35% savings! If, for ANY reason, you decide that Hydroderm is not for you, simply call (800) 840-5576 by Mar 18, 2006 and return the unused portion. You will NEVER be billed. Plus, when you accept this FREE Trial, you will also receive a FREE membership in the Hydroderm VIP program. That means that you’ll continue to get a fresh two-month supply of Hydroderm every 50 days for the low price of $49.95 (+ $6.95 shipping)... a 35% discount! No commitments, no hassles. Cancel anytime.
Feel free to CONFIRM FOR YOURSELF before believing all the negative garbage in these posts.
Further, their return instructions have been very clear on every invoice and email confirmation I have received from them:
RETURN INSTRUCTIONS: If you are unsatisfied with the product, you may return the unused portion 30 days from the shipped date and you will not be billed for the order. Please note the following terms:
* Store credit will be issued for all purchases returned after the 30-day return policy.
* We cannot process or refund packages marked "Return to Sender."
Refunds will always be issued to the same card to which they were billed.
* To ensure prompt processing, returns must be sent to the address provided with your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The warehouse cannot accept packages without an RMA number.
I have been a Hydroderm customer for more than a year and am very happy. ALL of my invoice/statements have included my order number, which can be used to register and connect to your account online. When I need to delay my autoship order, I go onto their website and delay it....no problems. If I cancel the autoship for awhile...they cancel it...no problems. When I wish to reactivate the autoship, they reactivate it....no problems. I have not had a bad experience at all, and the product has worked very well for me. Every order received has arrived in a new, sealed package, and I receive regular compliments on how young I look for my age. I love the product and will continue to use it and recommend it to others.
