I just recently signed up as a children's closeout distributor for the magic kids inc that is stationed out of california. They claim that for every sale of their clothing that you can get by advertising to get others to go to their website you will get 50% of the profits. Problem is their is no way for distributors to keep track of customer orders and since the company gives a 30 day period for clothing customers to return items they hold your checks for that period. They only allow a 30 day money back period but even if you found a sale day one you would not see a cent till the period is over. I want to know if their are any other distributors out their or if anyone knows anything about this organization. If you do please let me know. Thanks.

Have you inquired at Work At Home Moms ?
There seem to be a number of sites such as yours on the webs so you'll have plenty of company. Several people are selling the House brand of kiddie togs on e-bay. I found one church that had signed up; they state they are getting 10%?

Hi Sandi I'm thinking about joining Magic kids as well but my only question was how do you keep track of your sales? Are you saying you go by the honor system? Is the company difficult to work with? let me know...thanks

Hi Monica:
I just signed up and at this point I am not sure about the group. You do not get your own website. You advertise for customers-whether wholesalers or actual parents to go to the magic kids website and when they place an order and register their information they are suppose to input a coupon code which is individualized for each of their dealers. It seems, however, that you need to call the company in order to see if anyone placed any orders under your code. In other words--the honor system. What bothers me is that many people might place an order under my code and what would prevent the company from withholding some or all of the sales from me? Their is currently no way for me to tell without contacting them and assuming they are telling the truth. I will say that if you go to the better business bureau they have given they a rating of F. Most of this appears to have to do with customer service problems and the liqidation business they have going on the side but it is still bothersome because the BBB seems to think they may no always be straightforward in what they offering so it makes you think. I have done free advertising on the internet and at this point I have no orders. I will let you know any updates on the organization. Also, the company claims they have a 30 day money back guarantee for customers so any orders placed under a distributor would take over a month before the company will clear any commision checks. That means if someone places an order under my code today that Magic Kids would not authorize any payment to me till sometime in October since the 30 days applies to after the customer receives the item and I assume it takes at least 2 weeks for people to get their orders. I think this system is suspicious but I need more time to make my final conclusion. The company doesn't appear to be really looking out for their distributors though. With a 30 day money back guarantee on the distribitor pack when it takes you a couple of months to see whether they really pay their reps it is easy to see how this company rip people off. I hope this isn't the case although my gut doesn't feel good about it. If I were you I would wait. That is just my personal opinion.
