I called the customer service number on wirefly and talked to a representative. He said I need to contact the "Rebates department" at 1-866-800-4303. I told him that there is no option to speak to a representative. He told me the trick: Keep pressing the # key even if there is no option and it'll connect you to a representative. I got connected to a person and I told him my plight. He was very understanding (apparently receives so many such calls). He said "Just ignore the letter you received. It was an error on our part". I asked him "Are you saying that everything is fine and I'll get my rebate soon?" He said "yes". I asked him "how soon?". He said " That is one thing I cannot tell but your submission is complete". I asked him if I can "get an email or something as confirmation that my submission is complete" . He said "I cannot do that but you can use your claim ID to pull up this conversation when you call later". So guys try this out. Your might also have got the rejection by error.

They got me too - I purchased a Nextel phone - waited my 180 days that would have been June 8, 2005 (according to wirefly). I sent in the rebate on June 5, figuring to get there by June 8th. The rebate form included the label from the bottom of the box which showed the sim number, serial number and IMEI number. They sent me a letter saying that my submission was too early - i returned the rebate form right when i received the letter which was on July 15th, 2005. I received a letter dated August 16, 2005, stating that my claim is invalid due to "the barcode received is invalid. A copy of the 12 digit UPC barcode from the product packaging must be submitted with each rebate claim form." The letter also stated that i must send this form back within 30 days. I checked the bottom of my box (which i kept all this time - sixth sense that this would happen) - resubmitted the entire bottom of the box on August 22, 2005. When i called them today on October 20, 2005, I spoke to a girl named Jaime-she informed me that the rebate was denied due to the postmark out of timeframe. They keep trying to find new ways to rip consumers off. How do we stop them and prevent other people from getting robbed.

Rejection Poll Added To wirefly-rebate.com!
They have added a funny poll to http://www.wirefly-rebate.com/ allowing you to vote on the faux-rejection reason given by Inphonic/Wirefly.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Of course I don't give up easily. I am getting the run around regarding my rebates (500 total) for 2 phones. And as usual I have already been charged for the phone. Well For those of you who are still having problems. I was able to get around the 1-866-800-4303 number. I got the number to their corporate office 1/866-274-8573. this after 4 months of calling. I have them reviewing my rebates, cause I only submitted 4 and they have me down for 6. I am really pissed I will make sure none of the people I know ever buy from this company again.
Lots of Luck with the corporate #. If we all call and complain numerous times maybe something will be done.

I'm another victim...they owe me rabates for two phones totaling $360 and I am not going to get it. It seems they can come up with every reason to deny these rebates. I called Cingular to no avail...their agent on the phone stated that they are aware of how CellularChoices.com operates and that they are within the law. Cingular is not going to do anything to help me. A hard lesson learned. I would like to know if anyone can offer a solution to this.
