My family and I just returned from a Summer Bay package trip (Orlando/Cruise to Bahamas)
I just wanted to add our experience to the list:
The 90 min. "Presentation" was more like 3 hours.... while our 9 and 12 yr. old were waiting in the room for us to return! The guy working at the desk at the "Inn of Summer Bay" couldn't even work the phones to connect us to our kids to tell them we would be late returning! Our "Presenter" was a smooth-talking, self-proclaiming Millionaire" who was our "Best Friend" until we denied the package. He then left our table, abruptly and then sent over their "Last ditch effort Salesman" who could barely speak English.... to try and sell us an even "more condensed" version of their "Time Shares". We felt like we were in a used Car Sales Office. FINALLY..... they let us go and pick up our "gift". We only got 3 tickets for our family of 4 to Universal Studios. The "free shuttle" that was advertised didn't run to Universal, only Disney. We were charged with hidden room taxes and a daily "Resort Fee" for each day we stayed there! I've never known a hotel to charge extra for use of the pool, ect....!!!!!!!! The boat trip was low budget but OK. My family and I actually had a good time on the trip, but I wouldn't trust Summer Bay.
