Here's the deal about Sundance...the internet shopping gift certificate is shady. They claim the site you shop on is comparable to Sears and the site in no way resembles all that Sears has to offer. Plus, Sundance specifically told me the shipping and handling fees were minimal. If you call $115 for $420 of goods minimal; I disagree.
As far as the vacations go - it's not a scam. They, (sundance) own condos in specified hotels. What we discovered was that 90% of the hotels we paged through at the seminar were really run down. There locations as weel are very limited, i.e., no European locations at all. At the end of the day, if you are someone who really wants to discover places now, but has a very limited budget, and you are not particular about your accomodations - go for it. Otherwise, save up and enjoy a nice hotel.

Quote: ...If you call $115 for $420 of goods minimal. To use your example you are spending $115 (unreasonable) for shipping and "handling" for items with a list price of $420 , however the actual retail of those same items is less than $115. In other words you could go out and by the same crap anywhere, have it shipped to you, and would cost you the same $115, so you are in effect paying for your "free" prize. It is not free, nor is it a prize.

The cost of the complete package is easily beat by any legitimate travel agency, and many of them offer specials.
Don't get stuck with a comittment with TAN. You will spend more and have to keep spending even if your personal situation changes.
