Hutchence got with British TV host Paula Yates, who was then the wife of singer Bob Geldof. Yates left Geldof for Hutchence.

Hutchence, was found hanging in a hotel room of the Ritz-Carlton in Double Bay in Sydney. The New South Wales coroner determined his death was a suicide, but some rumors circulated that it was an accident.

Geldof, often resembling a leprechaun hit by a truck was so ticked off by his missus going for a younger, handsome sex symbol of the day that his mates the IRA were not impressed by this aussie lad stepping on the toes of an so called Irish legend decided to off Michael and Paula.
