Actually, I have a side business based on finding products for a niche ( on of my fav hobbies and sports) and selling them on Ebay. Say what you will but, ebay provides me the market for my goods.
Mine is a start up where I travel on weekends to buy these items for pennies on the dollar or sometimes free for just removing them and fhen flipping them on ebay. It's basically a fun part-time job/hobby. Last year, however, I made almost $20,000 after about 15 of these weekend sorties. Plus I got some cool stuff for myself.
I believe I could go full time with this but, I make a very good living being a designer and QA analyst so, for now its just fun.

My New thing is to find good prices on things, talk a retailer into holding them for a week for me and auctioning them off with a 66% markup + estimated Flat Rate Shipping. Once I collect the items... I go pick up the goods and mail them off. The way things are going, my kids are going to have a very good Christmas.
