I wrote to this company and asked for a sample of the typing jobs. The page sent back was out of a Harry Potter novel. I've written back asking why would we need to retype a novel.
I'll let you know what the reply is.

Namaste' Lady Mod Real chutzpah would have been asking people to re-type a page from Conan-Doyle's "The Adventure of the Red Headed League"

Received an answer to my question about rewriting novels. This is the response:
"All .pdf and .jpg image take more place on net, We convert them in word and put them on web."
Othuat, two of the answers to your questions have been given on the thread by Rita. The assignments are sent 300 pages at a time. Training consists of being sent a few pages, which you type and send back, they then correct the errors and show you what was corrected and why.
Meditang, after 87 pages you make back your "investement", from there it's profit based on your work ethics. Furthermore, 300 pages divided by 20 days is merely 15 pages a day. That is not astronomical. Once you get into the zone, that shouldn't be too hard to do in a couple of hours a day. In fact, unless you like working for minimum wage or below you should at least aim for 10 pages an hour, equates to $8.00 an hour.
As I said before, you have to like to type and it may not be something that a very slow typist wants to tackle, you will most likely want to be able to do something more than just "hunt and peck" you really need to have basic typing skills. Your speed does increase over time naturally.
Anyway, if anyone is interested please PM Rita005 for the referral ID to join. She brought the opportunity to the table, she should get the credit for doing so.

I'm glad they used the suggestion. And to think I used to charge a consultation fee (and got paid) for my suggestions. LOL.

Just wrote them an email enquiring some info, and perhaps can u guys also help with the question? 1. How are they going to provide the training if we are staying out of US? 2. The duration for the assignment is 20 days (1st of every month to 20th for submission). If the assignment is 100 pages and the employee only manages 50 pages, does the employee still get paid? 3. How many pages do they usually send per assignment?
Thanks thanks.

I got it on the 31th Aug, 2 days after the sign up. Then they asked to send them an agreement as well as the 12 pages training assignment for them to test for error pages...
What are error pages? How do they count error pages?

What's the point for these guys to have everyone type the same assignment (Harry Potter), anyone have any ideas? Also, how many pages do we have to type until the 20th, do we have to complete the whole assingment, or just do your best? thanks.
