are you trying to say that it is ok to murder somebody because you think his writing sucks?
what's your rationale for bumping off people like Lenny Bruce, John Belushi and Andy Kaufman? they weren't funny enough?

im not aware of what they are, and im sure if they are real u looked them up one minute before you posted here.
im sorry if i made u feel bad about Hunter S Thompson, im sure his writings touch u in ways i would never understan.
human death is always tragic, i guess, so yea its terrible and who knows if it was suicide or not......
but then again, who teh heck cares??

RCI is a common goof used by IT/MIS Industry 'technicians' to allude to another network user and a perception that their head is stuck in their a$$hole when they post ridiculous remarks to a forum.
There has been a marked increase in the number of Journalists who have committed suicide during the Bush administration. Making an assassination look like suicide is an old trick (e.g., Marilyn Monroe). There was a report last week that Thompson was working on some kind of expose on Bush and his staff and was 'taken out'.
So to answer your last question, anybody who is patriotic to the principles on which this nation was founded and cares about our representative government officials maintaining themselves in office through murder, should care.
I enjoyed Hunter S. Thompson's writings, though they never touched me that deeply.
I'm a professional researcher, technical writer and digital arts management (D.A.M.) CONSULTANT and my interest in this case is not so personal with Hunter as you may imagine.
It is more personal with the CIA Drug Mafia who have tried to kill me four times (3 poisonings and a gun shot wound), killed serveral of my friends and colleagues and have killed 10's of 1,000s of U.S. Citizens since 11-22-1963.
My friend, if you are not outraged yet, you simply have not been paying attention to details, man.

what about the soldiers that commit suice these days, im no expert but i would venture to say its a lot higher (percetnage wise) than it should be. whats bush and his crew doing out there????

i wasn't saying you were. i was just trying to caution you to be cool.
those wierd things you read in the news make people pretty touchy when that stuff touches their lives directly.
even the types of remarks you made in this thread would not be taken well by people who were the victims or their loved ones - especially with the military suicides and PTSD sufferers.
Go check out the "Why You Should Kill Your Television" thread and think about the difference between watching something happen on the tube to someone else and what it would be like to have that happen to you.

i never called you on your opinion of Hunter S. Thompson. i called you on not caring whether it was suicide or murder based on your opinion that he sucked.
this thread is not about critically reviewing Hunter S. Thompson's works or lifestyle; it is about examining the evidence on whether he committed suicide or if it was faked by assassins.
As far as your 'military mind', I am certain that if you have any formal training at all, it is in conventional warfare and you never rose above the rank of E-5.
Your knowledge of American urban guerrilla strategies and tactics is most probably zilch because some of the things you post on this board would land you in a dumpster with your neck snapped if you ever said those things to certain types of people's faces.
You are welcome to believe yourself to be 'a fine man' and can only recommend that you study Sir Aldous Huxley's opinion about people who have convinced themselves of that living in an 'abnormal society' as he expressed it in 'Brave New World Revisited (1959)'.

dude i dont know what thread your reading but i never claimed to have military knowledge or be a Military mind at all. in fact i re iterate that i support any and all branches of military and whatever they have to do to make sure the job gets done.
i dont really see the connection between me talking about hunter s thompson in a negative fashion with saying things to urban guerilla warfare people who would snap my neck. if anything, you would think they would snap the journalists neck for getting soldiers into trouble by releasing **** that they do to them (the prison scandal, the burning bodies), no good can come from showing that stuff.
anyways sorry i offended you so damn much u singled me out to say i would get my neck snapped in a gorilla warfare zone, but i was just following what someone already said. you may have been in that type of zone before, but were not there now so try to settle down a bit, you never know when a journalist is nearby filming.

that should give you an idea of why i sometimes fly off the handle and can get pretty passionate about keyboard commandos and their tough talk.
