Good work ianmatthews, you saved me a lot of typing!
Just three more things:
1) pianogod is right about the laser thing.
2) Thousands of people all over the world see data taken from moonrock samples and other samples every day, including university (college if you're American) students. These same people (well, once the students have graduated, anyway) will tell you how extremely, extremely hard it would be to fake the thousands of pages of data taken!
Not only would it take a large team many years to produce such data with the technology they had back then, but surely someone on that team would've come forward by now.
3) The data taken from that moon landing matches up with all the other data we've gathered from the moon since then (and not just the U.S. data, the Russians and Chinese, too!)
It's clear to me that far too many people love conspiracies, it's just ridiculous. Go get a degree in earth science or something related, have a look for yourself, then once you actually know something for yourself (as opposed to hearing it from Michael Moore or another one of those lying "documentors") come back and tell us what you found!

yea i agree, you have no idea what you are talking about man ahahha..
it makes a ton of sense that the moon landing was faked for all this time...and let me guess, its for teh defense industry or some other cockahamy scheme by some big business that controls the government's money. that must be it, the old big business corparate scandal with teh government, all for teh money and power.
i once went to the moon so i know its real, but then i came down and i wasnt on the moon anymore, so im not there now

For everything you conspiracy theorists come up with as evidence in favour of the moon landing being fake, it gets disproved.
If we were running an official debate you would lose because every point you gain is then taken away.

Isn't this odd? I was talking to a friend of mine in North Carolina about this very topic yesterday.
He said that he kind of believed that theory based on reasoning that we haven't gone back to the moon after Apollo 17.
That sounds OK, until I asked him what made him so sure that we haven't gone back to the moon dozens of times since then. The government doesn't tell us many things, they could withold information on many space trips and the american people would never know it.
Ah ha! A conspiracy maybe, but perhaps not one as creative as making up a moon landing.
