I was a member of MedLifePlus. Cost is $12.00 per month, automatically charged to your credit card. Their site contains a provider list for Doctors, Dentists and Pharmicies. I joined because my current dentist was listed in their provider list. Before you can set up an appointment with a provider, you must call them first to verify that the provider is in fact a current provider. I was unable to make any appointments with any of the dental providers on their list. In fact, the dentists they referred me to are not on their provider list. I could not get any referrals for a dentist in my own zip code. If you need this service, I suggest that you check their provider list and check with the provider that you would like to deal with to see if they are in fact members of this operation before you join. I was not pleased with the providers that they referred me to. Insure that you will see the provider that you want to see before you join this program.

I allowed my daughter to use my credit card for a ONE time charge to MedLifePlus. She cancelled the policy in January after receiving their literature and learning the closest doctor was 35 miles away. They continued to bill my credit card for 3 more months - $36 - and refuse to refund it. I can't find their address to complain to the BBB

Pennie you should have had your daughter read the when she joined.
That is not a real scam.

I got an email about this plan and thought it had to be to good to be true. I luckly found this board.
The email I got included this link:

http://healthcare.thejournaloffer.org

I found this link which is the actual medlife plus and is what I think you guys had.

http://www.medlifeplus.com/Benefits.aspx

These companies are related!

BBB information and actual adresses of the 2 companies. Everyone who had a problem should file a complaint!

Better Business Burue atlanta georgia
http://www.atlanta.bbb.org/
Medlifeplus in atlanta Georgia had no complaints. It was listed at being at this adress:
Medlife Plus
2814 Spring Road
Atlanta, GA 30339

BBB in Minnasota
http://www.mnd.bbb.org
The Journal of American Medicine & Health Care
It says thier adress is:
The Journal of American Medicine & Health Care
P.O. Box 391
Excelsior, MN 55331

I almost signed up for the one going through the american journal. If you used either company you should file a complaint to both BBB's. I would but I really cant seeing as I didnt purchase anything thanks god. Pass this along

Another web page which I found but am not sure if is the same comany is:

http://www.medlife.net/ It might be worth chcking out

Oh and by the way the medlife websites ( at least the jounal of america does)use spyware to put on your machine that collects information like your IP adress, browser type and collects information on web pages you visit. Its not that dangerous, you can still visit the pages but it shows even more about thier lack of credibility.

I dont know how this can be anything other than a scam, they will not disclose the details of what services, etc. they are providing until they have collected money from you. I refused to enroll because of this, and you know what they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it likely is not!

For the lady who was charged for three months after canceling, contact your credit card company and contest the charges. Its an easy process to due, and you should get the money refunded to your account.

To cancel? I dont know I didnt sign-up, you might find it is any literature they sent you. If you are paying by credit card, call the credit card company and ask them to stop paying. Contest the charges and ask for the money to be refunded to you. You will have to supply a reason, fraud and failure to deliver the product advertised, and the use of misleading advertisements is likely good reason. Good Luck!

Pennie (#3):
When MedPlus notified me by email today of future automatic $19 billings, they said DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL, and did not include an address where to write to terminate. However, the first email I received, confirming my $1 one-month trial membership, showed the address listed below. You must write a letter to terminate future $19-a-month billings.

Phone: 1-866-4MEMBER (1-866-463-6237)

This offer was sponsored by: The Journal of American Medicine & Health Care at: http://healthcare.thejournaloffer.o...ampid=248&pass=
Email: "The Journal and MedLife Plus Offer" <customerservice@thejournaloffer.org>

Thank you! You all just saved me from what would have been alot of trouble! By the way...if anyone knows where i can get cheap --legit--insurance please let me know!!

just another opinion...I have used Medlife successfully.. I have used it for my kids' dental, got a great dentist, used it for my periodontal and endodontist all with great success. It worked for me. I am in California.

I don't understand what's so bad about Medlife plus.... they tell you everything you need to know right on their website... including how to cancel the service... they give you the number and website you need right on thier card... and i talked to my doctor, several nurses, and the receptionist at their office, and they said that a lot of doctors are going to this because it's a lot easier than dealing with insurance companies... it's more like an instant discount... i don't see what's so bad... and i looked up what doctors were within 6 miles of my small town... and 45 doctors came up... what's so bad?

when you don't have insurance... $19 is a STEAL for discounted dental, medical, doctor, and pharmacy coverage... what do you guys suggest is better??

i was paying almost $80 a month for insurance at my last company and i never used it!!! did i get it back??? noooo... THAT is a scam if you ask me....

I've been all over thier site Aprile47 and cannot see how to cancel. Can you detail how to do so for me and others who are less adept than you?

When the information isn't provided in big bold letters, it's suspicious.
