Our own President? lol, this website is verrry creepy. Go look

http://www.bushisantichrist.com/ -- this guy who wrote this site is very convincing & thorough. He also has a book about George Bush being the anti-christ in bookstores. I think I'll get it. If he turns out to be the anti-christ, I won't be surprised.

I think the author of the website is a nutcase and I'm not even a fan of George Bush. Since many world leaders at one time or another have been shown that with the Hebrew numerical system their names added up to 666, I think there's going to be a less obvious way to tell.

Is the Anti-christ among us? I'm not sure, he hasn't reared his ugly head yet.
(some think it's the next Pope after this current one).

Probably for much the same reasons that they woud believe that George Bush is the Anti-Christ, christians are pretty much willing to believe anything that sounds plausible.

Here is the info you were curious about, this was on one of the threads once but I think that thread finally disappeared:

The Secret Of The Next Pope
http://www.rense.com/general10/secretss.htm

If you visit in St Pauli fuori le mura (St Paul's Outside the Walls) in Rome (unforgetable!) you will see a line of profile faces around the ceiling, one depicting each Pope. There are two blank spots left. (Cue Twilight Zone theme music.)

it is said that he was born during an eclipse...

I've verified this from diverse sources:
http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/bwojtyla.html
born on: 18 May 1920

http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclip...E1901-2000.html (Solar Eclipses: 1901 to 2000):
1920 May 18 06:15 P 146 -1.024 0.973 69.1S 107.7E 0

Here's an astrological site with a natal chart for Pope John Paul II. Maybe someone can translate anything of importance:
http://www.astrodatabank.com/NM/PopeJohnPaul.htm

According to the Profecy of St. Malachi, the next Pope will be the Gloria Olivae.

Some people think that this "name" must be related with some personal characteristic of the next Pope.

But perhaps this "name" is related with the Sermon on the Mount of Olives.

"As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3)

This last Pope in Christian eschatolgy is also refered to as the "False Prophet". He works hand in hand with the European (Roman) AntiChrist

LOL, I'm sure he does which might technically mean that he would be the logical candidate as the next Anti-Christ, eh? At the very least he would be a false prophet. Did you know that in the days of Christ and before that false prophets were stoned to death?

Anyone gathering big rocks yet?

But the guy who wrote the site used way more sources than the Hebrew numerical system. Way other ways. Anyway, I just find this very interesting.

Also, why do people think that the next Pope will be the anti-christ.

The Antichrist has to be from the Roman Empire (aka the EU). The last time I checked, Bush is from (don't mess with) Texas. Unless Rome extended a lot further than I learned about in history class, I doubt Bush is it.

Further, Daniel 11:37 says that he will not "regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women". Many believe that the Antichrist must be ethnically Jewish. (Bush is certainly not.) At any rate, Bush certainly has a regard for God and for the desire of women. (Note that many scholars believe that "desire of women" is an idiom for "being the mother of the Messiah", in which case this would mean that the AC will have no regard for the true Messiah. Either way, Bush would not seem to qualify.)

As for the question of whether the AC is alive today ... think about this. Christ said when He was on this earth that He Himself at that time did not know the time of His return. Only God the Father knew it. So it stands to reason that Satan does not know it. Thus, Satan would have to have one or more "stand by" Antichrists at all time. In fact, John said in 1 John 2:18 that there are many antichrists already (defined in 2:22 as anyone who denies Christ). But maybe that isn't just an analogy. It is distinctly possible that Satan has one or more antichrists ready and waiting to be the Antichrist if need be.

As for the Pope, there is no reason in the world to believe that he is necessarilly going to be the false prophet or the Antichrist. Many people believe that the woman described in Revelation 17:3-6 is the Catholic Church, or, rather, what will be left of the Catholic Church after the rapture. When Christ returns for His church prior to the tribulation, every single Christian will be gone. That means that for at least a little while, every single member of any church is not really a Christian. They were just playing "Churchianity" and looked at church as a Country Club. They never had any real relationship with Christ. So Revelation 17:3-6 certainly could be talking about the leftovers of the Catholic Church.

I know of no reason, though, to believe that the AC or FP would have to be Catholic.

Hi Bibleman,

Interesting site but it is very very sad. It sure points out just where christians have failed to help these people experience a true walk with God. It's not the doctrine that turns people away, it's the christians themselves and the craziness they expect people to conform to as well as all the differing ideas about what christianity is.

Just underlines the fact that the bible is open to interpretation. If it was so easy and self explanatory, all christians would believe the same doctrine.

Namaste' and thanks for sharing.

A lot of people think that Pope will be the Anti-Christ. I don't. The anti-Christ will be a political leader, the Pope is a spirtual leader. I do believe that the office of the Pope will be tied to the anti-christ. Whether it is the current one that is anyone's guess...

naa, catholic church dont hold sway like they used to and followers dropping off like crazy.

Think they lost a lot of their authority both spiritual and political and losing more ground every day.

many think anti christ will come from the new age or spiritual enlightenment movement that is growing in popularity.

I still think that with over 1,000,000,000 followers the Catholic church carries plenty of leadership in the world...

They have lost some of the clout that they once had, but still carry a big stick...

true there are lots of catholics in the world........whether or not they are active in the church is another story

catholicism seems to be the more trendy christian establishment to be assocated with and most "membrs" dont really give a hoot about religion at least from my experince with them other than to go see their priest every once and a while or take sacrement.

could be wrong but i wouldn' be looking for a catholic atichrist regardless.

I agree, the anti-christ will NOT be the pope... The pope will be associated with the anti-christ though...
