Hi -
Has anybody heard of Wholesale Marketing Group, LLC, located on 130 Church Street #125, New York, NY 10007? The Better Business Bureau report said they were just recently alerted about this company and that they were gathering info on it. And that was about all they had on it. I searched for it on Google, it didn't come up. And nobody has posted anything on it here. They are saying they'll pay you 3.50 for each envelope you stuff. Sounds a bit too good, huh? You have to pay for postage yourself and then they will reimburse you...Well, after receiving similar letters from Mailer Profits and American Diversified Publications, I'm leaning towards "SCAM!!" for this one as well... If anyone knows anything about this company, please let me know!!!

I recently recieved the Wholesale marketing group offer and i am really trying to figure out if it is a scam. I have read up on these stuffing envelop offers and the first red flag is an upfront fee, however the WMG letter guarantees a return on the investment. I wonder if they put that in writting on their solicitation, if it can be held against them if they don't deliver. If anybody knows ANYTHING PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

I found the asseeontvmailers site a few weeks back and have been trying to find information on them. Check out these two links:

http://www.as-seen-on-tv-mailers.com/

Notice that it has a different mailing address than the New York company you were talking about.

Hope it isn't a scam but it probably is. Let me know what you guys think.

We can use the above email addresses to contact these people directly... you can also visit www.jenntech.com which is the firm I believe designed this website eventhough no claim is made at the bottom of the site as usual. If this is the case... let shut these people down for good. If any of you has any contacts or means to help me shut these people down please do so immediately ....

AND BY THE WAY...

You can find out any relevant information about basically any domain name, including email, mailing address and phone number of any domain name by accessing www.whois.net or any whois website...
Thank you

I dont know of anyone who has actually adventured to order from these scammers. They have actually ventured into posting an ad on my local newspaper. As the above info states, JennTech, Inc, which is the company that is partly, if not totally, involved in the scam scheme, is located about 1 hour from New Bedford, MA. The above newspaper above mentioned is located in this city. JennTech, Inc, owns the server where asseenontvmailers.com is hosted. I have personally contacted JennTech, Inc. concerning this matter with no luck. I will keep trying. If more of us send them a message they will listen and consequently shut down the domain asseenontvmailers.com . The best way to contact them is by accessing the following form : http://www.jenntech.com/contact.shtml
Again, lets shut these people down..

Has anyone actually ordered from this company? Do we know how they scam you? Most places don't say "no advertising at all" and they do. Just curious as to what they do to scam you. Do they really make you advertise or is there another way that they are able to do it? Just curious.
Thanks.

I can maybe shed some light on the subject. I have sent away for the mailers (possibly a stupid mistake) but I still am trying to figure out if it is legitimate or not. Maybe with all of your help we can come up with a conclusion on this matter. I have received a box full of brochures for little giant ladder, along with mailing labels with name and addresses to be attached to the brochure. Here is how it actually works, contrary to what they state on the website. For every sale you make, you get a $50 dollar commission on it. They claim to have a 7.5% sales rate, which turns out to be around 22 ladders out of 300 brochures sent. Now $50 times 22 ladders isn't a bad weeks worth of work, and it comes out to be around the earnings they promise for each brochure mailed out (used to be $3.50, now they're saying $5.00). Now here's the thing that stops me from going any further with the deal. They claim in their website that they reimburse you for postage, but I emailed them and asked if I have to send a receipt or something in order to get reimbursed, and they told me not to. They said that it was part of a business cost and that it would be reimbursed through the earnings that I make. I have already shelled out $175 for these brochures, and I'd really like to be able to make it back, but I don't really want to shell out another $111 for postage and have this whole thing be a scam. I don't want to have all these customers sending me money and then if they don't receive a ladder in return, I'd be screwed. So please help me try to figure this thing out. If it really is legitimate, we can make some decent earnings from it, plus I really don't want to be out $175. I've tried emailing the different companies listed on their website to see if they actually have their permission to sell their products, but haven't heard from them yet. In the brochures you receive, they claim to have an agreement with little giant and that is why they are able to sell their product at such a discounted price. So I figured I would contact these companies like body by jake, jack lalanne, ronco, etc. and ask them if they have an agreement with wholesale marketing group. Maybe a call to them would be more effective, as I have not received an email back. If anybody else would like to try this as well, please do and report what you find out. Keep up with the posts so we can get to the bottom of this!!! Any questions just ask me.

I just received a reply from ladders.com after giving them all the information I had on Wholesale Marketing Group(WMG). Not exactly conclusive... Quote: As seen on TV is a legit dealer so if the Wholesale Marketing Group
is going through them or runs that then we would think they are a legit
company. We just don't have their name specifically on any of our
papers. That doesn't mean they are not because they could be buying from
another one of our dealers, it just means we can't verify it at this
time. If you have any other questions feel free to email or call at
1-800-453-1192
I may merely be a glutton for punishment; but I am thinking of trying out this mailing program, pending on a reply from an email which I recently sent to WMG.

The only problem with asking ladders.com is that they are only one of the many resellers of little giant. If wholesale marketing group is really legit, they would be considered a reseller just as ladders.com is a reseller. So asking ladders.com about wmg would be similar to asking wmg about ladders.com. It's not really a conclusive way to tell whether wmg is a legit dealer of little giant ladders. You'd have to go directly to the little giant manufacturer and ask them if they have an agreement with wmg to allow wmg to sell their product. However, I have searched for a little giant webpage and all that came up were these resellers such as the one you described. I looked in the yellow pages and a couple numbers came up for little giant directly. Here they are (214) 943-7494 and (972) 633-2799. Also, I don't believe they are affiliated with as seen on tv as a company. I think that they are referring to the products that they are trying to push are as seen on tv products in general. For my sake, I hope I'm wrong about this because if they are affiliated with the company as seen on tv, then that would mean they are legit. So far, I have no facts which indicate that they are not legit. I did send away for the brochures and I did receive them. The only problem I have right now, is that I hope that they deliver a product when I sell a product. I can't have customers sending me money and have them not receive a product in return. That is why I'm trying to research this a little more, before I send the brochures out. I have them all ready to be sent, I just need to apply postage. I will do this as soon as I confirm that they are legit. If we all work together we can get to the bottom of this.
