Guess I didnt really make clear what the ecommerce was about. No, we don't build a downline. It doesnt matter how many people I help to come and work with them, I don't profit from their success. As for the products, you can sell anything that you want. If you already have a business established, they help with that. They give you a list of dropshippers that you can use if you want to. Electronics, home decor, camping supplies, etc. As for the reason I set up with this particular merchant account: They set up advertising for you. Submit you to 200 search engines, and place you in the first 2 results pages of 8 major search engines, including Yahoo, Google, and MSN. They also get you set up with your own domain name, and a 50 page ecommerce site. Without any up front cost to you. Since I was relatively new to ecommerce, it sounded great to me. I figured since I needed a merchant account anyways, I might as well get set up with one that would help me promote my business. Does that explain any more? Or does it still sound like I was suckered into something? And I'm not trying to defend my business, I just truly want to know if it seems like I have gotten into something bad from someone who knows more about scams than I do.

There are numerous "legitimate" work at home companies out there...the key is to do your due diligence....don't sign on based on talking to one person...I spent over six months before I committed to anything...good luck...

How can you be approached privately if you don't allow private messages or emails ?

Make sure the company you are looking at has an experienced management, awesome products that people will buy without having to be an affiliate. A compensation plan that you can live to retire on. The plan is duplicatible by people who are doing the business part time. You have a support team of people that you really trust. Read policies and Procedures. The company guarantees the products they sell. There are companies that have these qualities.
